Josu de Solaun presents his new album, Rachmaninoff 3 & Prokofiev 2, released by IBS Classical, at the auditorium of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid.
With this work, De Solaun becomes the first Spanish pianist to record Prokofiev’s Concerto No. 2, Opus 16, with the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra conducted by Isabel Rubio, since its composition in 1912. As for Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 3, Opus 30, it has only been previously recorded in Spain by Alicia de Larrocha and Rafael Orozco.
